Generally
We will only deliver to the registered address of the credit card holder in the case of online payments.

SHIPPING NOTES:
Northern & Southern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Offshore Islands and Channel Islands: The shipping costs for items outside of the UK Mainland can generally be higher than domestic post. However, we still offer the same quality of service although the before 12.00 midday service is not available to all destinations: You just need to contact us before shopping with your address details for an accurate delivery quote on your purchase.
ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES
The delivery times quoted here are only an estimate and may vary depending on demand. We will always try to get your goods to you as soon as possible.
DESPATCH TIMES
All orders placed before 12.00 midday will be despatched the same day (MON-FRI excluding BANK HOLIDAYS). Orders placed after 12.00 midday will be despatched the next day
DELIVERY TIMES
Following despatch all orders will be delivered by courier. Standard delivery service is 48hrs. Special delivery service (additional cost) is 24hrs (although not guaranteed). Both services exclude weekends and bank holidays. The courier will require a signature on delivery.
The courier will leave a calling card if they are unable to deliver your parcel, please follow the instructions on the calling card and contact your local depot to rearrange delivery/collection within 5 working days. If arrangements for delivery/collection are not completed in 5 working days your parcel will be returned back to the Essex Chocolate Fountain Company.
In the event that you would like your order resent, this will incur a returns fee, restocking and further delivery charge payable by you. Similarly, redirected deliveries and additional deliveries will incur an additional fee payable by you. Redirected deliveries, re-deliveries and additional delivery fees must be paid in full before the Essex Chocolate Fountain Company Ltd will agree for these additional services.
INSURANCE – Your goods/order once collected by the courier from the Essex Chocolate Fountain Company Ltd. will not be insured.
COURIERS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Where the Goods are collected, transported and/or delivered entirely within the United Kingdom, the liability (if any) of the Courier to Essex Chocolate Fountain Company shall not exceed £15,000 per Consignment or the Value of the Goods (whichever is the less).
Where loss from or damage to a package or part of a Consignment occurs (howsoever caused):
The Courier shall have no liability for any loss of or damage to Goods or a Consignment or for other losses whatsoever suffered by Essex Chocolate Fountain Company unless the Essex Chocolate Fountain Company receives notice of the claim in writing from the buyer as follows:
- where the Customer is domiciled within the United Kingdom and the transit of the Goods/Consignment terminates in the United Kingdom, the Company receives notice within three days and a quantified claim is received within seven days after the end of the transit of the Consignment;
- where the Customer is domiciled outside the United Kingdom, and the transit of the Goods/Consignment terminates in the United Kingdom, the Company receives notice within seven days and a quantified claims received within fourteen days after the end of the transit of the Consignment; or
- where the transit of the Goods/Consignment terminates anywhere outside the United Kingdom, the Company receives notice within seven days and a quantified claim is received within fourteen days after the end of the transit of the Consignment.
